During the introductory lecture BEPF talked about the urban green system and now the focus will be on planting trees in city. Participants will discuss: proper plant species; time, place, distances from the infrastructure and the surrounding buildings; techniques that will ensure the stability and vitality of the trees; how we as citizens can contribute to be more green where we live.

Lecturers will be LA Stanimir Shalamanov and LA Nevena Pachedzhieva who have many years of experience in the field of landscape architecture, public discussions and preparation of statements regarding the urban environment in the city of Plovdiv. Currently they are part of BEPF’s team which provides free consultations and advice to CSOs and citizens on the topics: green system and selection of species, urban environment, planting, maintenance and pruning of trees and shrubs, sustainable urban planning.
