Civil Society Development Foundation (FDSC) is an independent, non-governmental organization set up in 1994 at the initiative of the European Commission. FDSC promotes a strong and sustainable civil society that contributes to defending democratic values by supporting civil society actors, mobilizing resources, fostering an enabling environment, and strengthening co-operation with other sectors. Thus far, we managed over 2600 grants in our funding programmes for CSOs as well as played a key role in building CSO capacity in Romania, being one of the most important training providers here with over 21 years of experience.

Our role in the Reclaim Our Civil Space project is to support civic groups and small organizations in Romania to better engage in public policy making, as well as to help shape EU level solutions for a strong civil society across the continent.
